Hi, I'm Elizabeth.
I love books. Not just for the stories inside them, but for what they reveal about the people who choose them. I'm drawn to the topics I see on bookshelves, the books we keep close, the ones we return to, and the ones that somehow become staples in our libraries.
That's actually where Found & Folded began. I was looking for an intentional gift for a friend whose library had inspired me. I wanted to find something personal and thoughtful, something that felt more meaningful than simply picking something off a gift list. Somewhere in that search, I discovered book folding, and I was fascinated.
I loved the idea of taking something familiar and transforming it into something completely unexpected. A book could become a word. Pages could become art. Something that had already lived one life could become something entirely new. I remember thinking, What else is possible?
That question is really at the heart of Found & Folded. I find books that have been overlooked or are ready for a second life, and I transform them by hand into pieces that celebrate words, names, moments, and ideas that mean something.
Every piece starts with a found book. Then comes the fold. And somewhere along the way, it becomes something new.
That's what Found & Folded is all about. Rescued books, reimagined for the words that mean something. I'm glad you're here, and I hope you find something meaningful, too.
